Shoreline Amphitheatre

History

The Shoreline Amphitheatre was built in 1985-1986 by the city of Mountain View they had an old school architecture in mind, however Bill Graham was also a partner in this project and he came up with the idea of "The Grateful Dead's Steal your face" design. The created a lot of leg space and space to dance to make sure the the audience has a great experience. If needed they would put additional stages within the parking lots. This amphitheater has a capacity of 22,000 seats, 6500 reserved seats and 15,500 lawn seats.

Throughout the years there has been a lot of great shows that occurred at Shoreline amphitheatre. A lot of well known music celebrities love this venue for amazing performance. What I did at the Shoreline Amphitheatre

As everyone knows the Shoreline Amphitheatre is known to throw on amazing events. I attended an event called Beyond Wonderland hosted by Insomniac. When I entered the area in which the amphitheater was located near the google headquarters. The venue had everyone park at the area covered in dirt because the event was going to be taken place not only at the actual amphitheater but also in the parking lot. As we were entering we were kindly greeted at the gate with people passing out cupcakes which says "eat me" Walking into the event was like walking into a whole different world. Everyone was so kind and dancing not caring for what people say or think. There were three different stages "Madhatters castle" "Queens Domain" and "Chestire woods" different Dj's were playing on different stages. The event lasted from 1pm-11pm, the event may seemed long but it was definitely not long enough. I've been to the San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernadino but did not like it because it was too big. To much area  to cover, I like the Shoreline Amphitheatre better .

What I expected

When I walked in I thought it would be as big as the San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernardino, but when I saw that it wasn't I was kind of relieved because we didn't have to do as much walking. Less walking more dancing! (: I will definitely be attending more events at this venue.

Interview

I've spoken to several people and asked them how did they like this amphitheater and they enjoyed it. One of the best venues that they've ever been to. Everyone that I interviewed said that they enjoyed all the space they had to dance it wasn't compacted as other venues.

  1. Thanks for your post. I’ve been thinking about writing a very comparable post over the last couple of weeks, I’ll probably keep it short and sweet and link to this instead if thats cool. Thanks. Shoreline Amphitheatre tickets
